What a year it has been here at Iron Man magazine. It’s exactly one year ago that my wife and I decided to get into the publishing business by acquiring this iconic title that celebrates its 80th birthday in 2016. I have to admit that it’s been a turbulent year with ups and downs—a learning process that turne an 80-year-old title loved by so many readers into a reborn fitness publication getting a new reader base of millennials. Now that this year is behind us, sitting here evaluating our journey as publishers and flipping through the last year’s collection of maga- zines, I am so proud of our Iron Man team for what we’ve accomplished. We’ve created something that is inspiring and educational and has helped support and champion the great athletes in fitness.
So what would a New Year be without a resolution? Research suggests that only eight percent of people achieve their New Year’s goals. Lose weight, get fit, and eat healthier are among the top 10 most commonly broken New Year’s resolutions. So why do so many people fail at their self-improve- ment quest? I believe that most people don’t have the proper guidance and structure to help them achieve their goals. They say they want to lose 20 pounds but don’t know specifically what day-to- day actions they need to take.
Our New Year’s resolution here at Iron Man magazine is to help you keep yours. We are constantly working on innovative ways to create and deliver more fun, tips, ideas, and knowledge along with a very important component: inspiration through photos and videos.
Myself, and the entire team here at Iron Man magazine, wish you all a very healthy, successful, and prosperous 2016.
