COLUMBUS, Ohio – Dexter Jackson of Jacksonville, Fla., made history tonight when he won the Arnold Classic for the fifth time, eclipsing the record of four titles he shared with the great Flex Wheeler.
Jackson, competing in the Arnold Classic for a record 15th time, received congratulations from Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, a check for $130,000, a Tony Nowak Official Champions Jacket and the champion’s trophy from Eric Hillman of Europa Sports Products and Cory Gregory of MusclePharm and a medal from Steve Downs of MHP.
Two-time Arnold Classic winner Branch Warren of Copper Canyon, Texas finished second and received $75,000 and a medal from Hollywood Casino and EAS.
Other major prizes awarded in the Arnold Classic were:
- 3rd place: Justin Compton of Winchester, Ky., received $50,000 from Muscle & Fitness and Gasp & Better Bodies.
- 4th place: Cedric McMillan of Heath Springs, S.C., received $30,000 from Ricart Automotive and GAT/World Health Products.
- 5th place: Evan Centopani of Trumbull, Conn., received $15,000 from Gaspari Nutrition and Beast Sports.
- 6th place: Roelly Winklaar of Netherlands received $10,000 from Body Fortress and Gifted Nutrition.
Lifetime Achievement Award: The 2015 of the Arnold Classic Lifetime Achievement Award is Jim Manion, president of the National Physique Committee (NPC), the U.S. affiliate of the International Federation of Bodybuilding & Fitness (IFBB). Manion is also chairman of the IFBB Professional League and is a noted judge of amateur and professional divisions. Nicknamed “the Chairman,” he has played a vital role in the growth and development of professional bodybuilding, fitness and figure. The number of competitions and total prize money awards has drastically increased under his leadership.
