Iron Man Magazine adds Figure and Bikini to their NPC sanctioned, polygraph-tested natural bodybuilding championships at the Bodybuilding.com Los Angeles Fitness Expo in January 2011.

Iron Man Magazine Publisher John Balik, who created the Iron Man Magazine Naturally Bodybuilding Championships in the early 1990s, is expanding the show. And, in a big way.
The Men’s and Women’s bodybuilding contests will now be joined by Figure and Bikini events, and will be held at the Bodybuilding.com Los Angeles Fitness Expo, California’s largest fitness event with over 25,000 attendees.
The polygraph-tested contests, sanctioned by the NPC, will take place on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
"Over the past 25 years, Iron Man Magazine has supported natural bodybuilding by featuring strategies for drug-free physique development as well as showcasing natural athletes, both editorially and photographically," says Balik. "These natural bodybuilding championships spearhead a new era."
"Natural bodybuilding is enjoying unprecedented popularity," Balik continued. "It provides a forum that demonstrates to the world that people can build impressive physiques without the use of performance enhancing drugs."
"Many natural bodybuilders are already committed to drug-free contests on a regional, state and local scale. Through a high profile event such as the Los Angeles Fitness Expo, this segment of the sport is now given national and international recognition."
The Iron Man Magazine Naturally Championships will feature several categories, including Teenage, Unlimited, Novice and Masters Men’s bodybuilding; Women’s bodybuilding and Unlimited and Masters Figure and Bikini.
"This is a great opportunity for fans to see the contest for only the $20 Expo admission charge," Balik says. "Now, in addition to all the other great events going on during the weekend, the fans can also watch some of the best drug-tested competitors display their physiques on the Expo stage."
The entry form, which will include specifics regarding the polygraph testing procedures, will follow soon. For more information, including NPC contest guidelines, go to www.ironmanmagazine.com. Competitors please contact Lonnie Teper at 626-403-1232 or [email protected]
