When it’s cold out, we love to bundle up by the fireplace to stay toasty, but it may be better to take a brisk walk outside.
According to the December ’11 Prevention, “The temporary physical stress of being cold—whether it’s the result of being outside on a freezing day or taking a cold shower—may strengthen the immune system.”
Bonus: Chilling out forces your metabolism higher in order to keep your core temperature up—in other words, you burn more calories when it’s cold.
