Schlierkamp Stuns Coleman at GNC Event!
For all the people who have been calling Gunter Schlierkamp the uncrowned Mr. Olympia after his controversial fifth place showing three weeks ago, your point is now well taken. The 6’2′, 300-pounder upset five-time `Olympia champion Coleman to win the GNC Show of Strength Bodybuilding Championships on Saturday, November 9, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Coleman, who was victorious at the Dutch Grand Prix in Amsterdam, Holland a week earlier (Schlierkamp, committed to a guest posing, did not compete), finished second, with Chris Cormier landing in third. Lee Priest, who placed sixth at the `Olympia held in Las Vegas on October 19, finished in fourth, with Dennis James rounding out the top five. Dexter Jackson, the winner of the British Grand Prix on October 27 in London, England (Coleman did not enter), placed sixth.
