We’ve all had sniffles and wondered, “Hmm, should I work out, or will it make me sicker?”
According to the November ’13 Prevention, you should do a “neck check.” If your symptoms are only above your neck—runny nose, slight headache or sore throat—you’re probably good to go. Exercising may even make you feel better. Just don’t push yourself too hard—and wipe off the equipment after you’ve been on it to prevent spreading your germs.
If your symptoms are below the neck—body aches, chills, stomach issues—skip your training. Also skip if you have a fever.
