An import factor in building a lean muscular physique is to do things that work with your natural biology rather that against it. Whether you’re trying to gain muscle or shave off body-fat that means you must incorporate basic biology into the process.
Remember that the human body is an intricate collection of ‘systems’ that are programmed and hard-wired to survive. At its most basic level the body will do what it needs to in order to survive. In order to alter your body composition, you have to take care of basic survival needs FIRST.
One of the key factors is hydration. Drink liberal amounts of water. This is probably the most important thing you can do in almost any attempt to gain muscle or burn body fat. Water helps you to remain mentally sharp and focused. Water helps your brain and body function optimally. Water is the vehicle your body uses to rid itself of its toxins and metabolize stored fat. It gives you more energy and keeps you feeling positive and up-beat.
It makes your muscles perform optimally and get stronger. It’s what needed to make creatine or nitric oxide to be effective. Even slight decreases in water can reduce muscle contractions significantly. Water improves digestion and prevents injuries.
The human body is composed of 50 to 65 percent water. Many programs recommend as much as 12 to 16, eight ounce glasses of water a day with no ill effects what-so-ever.
