I got an e-mail a couple of days ago from Charles Nichols. Charles is the man who bugged me until I agreed to enter my first bodybuilding show in May of 1983. Charles and I had lost touch in the late 1980’s. He had retired from bodybuilding after winning his class at the 1988 Masters Nationals. Well, Charles had e-mailed me to tell me that after 19 years he had come out of retirement to win the over 60 class at the 2007 NPC Texas Championships, and also placed 2nd in the over 50 class. Can you believe this guy is 60 years old??? Way to go Charles! And, thanks for setting me on the path that I’ve followed for the last 25 years!
